Spooky Bases
I have been asked to write about all the base decorations that have been added to KoH for Halloween, and how we can compare it to other bases decorations. I was thinking about all these additions, and what I think of them, looking around agencies and seeing the differences between ours and theirs, and I thought it would be a good idea to share it with you all!
As many of you working in KoH have probably noticed, we have had decorations added for Halloween into our base, for example:
Misfortune Teller
Blood Drips
Mariachi Skeleton
Habboween Crypt
Pumpkin Lamp
Some of the additions, members are able to use & get hand items. Such as from the Punch Bowl you are able to get a Cup of Blood, Tomato Juice, or a fish! There is a Fairground Grabber, and you are able to get things like a Snake, Squid, Dead Rat & many others. We also have the Meat Bingue, which can give you things like Fish & Wrenches. In my opinion the useable decorations are very interesting to include in base, since you do not know what you’ll be getting from it! It’s almost like a surprise.
We have the Misfortune Teller, which activates when anyone speaks next to it, and this furniture will talk, informing us of a Misfortune that is bound to happen! Of course, it is just there for fun, so do not worry about what is being told, since it won’t actually occur. I’m pretty torn between this furniture, speaking of the opinion. I do like it, however there is a downside to it. It’s overall a funny addition, however it is possible for it to be spammed by members, for example they can repeatedly talk near it, even if it may be an accident or not, it is able to bother people!
Overall, I think these additions are amazing & very interesting. Decorations can make our base look prepared for the upcoming season, and can help members feel the spirit of Halloween! Along with this, changing base a little bit in these ways can attract any visitors that come along into our base, they can be eye-catching to allies, newcomers, or even those who want to join KoH. :)
Now, there have been many bases which have decorated their bases, for things like Christmas, Halloween, Easter etc. When it does come to this, we don’t see every agency decorating their base all the same, since that would be pretty...boring, or uninteresting, don’t you think? That is why every agency has their own unique way of adding these things for different times of the year. I don’t think that ‘comparing’ our base to others is the way to go, but I do believe that KoH has their little unique ways of displaying seasons and times of the year, whether it’s with decorating base, or events during the months, or even changing the uniform colours, it is pretty special no matter what is changed!
There is not much that/anything I would change, or add to the base so far, because I do believe that the way it gets decorated is good enough! I hope everyone is happy with the base, and how everything is in KoH so far. Tune in next week for more Ask TKC & an opinion post!
