Lives of the iLs

Greetings! Welcome back to another week of TKC fun.

I remember back in the days when I wasn’t an iL/iC, I always wondered what was like to be one of them; do they have a lot of work and responsibilities? Are they always occupied with workload to maintain the agency? If they do, it just wasn’t really shown. So just in case many are wondering the same thing like I did, I asked a few questions from three iLs in KoH.

Heathlove, MDS II 5iL

samara5955, Percival 3iL

-Kaylalicious, Princess 1iL

What is your responsibility as a 1iL/3iL/5iL?

Heathlove (5iL)

  • To obey the rules, and to make sure others follow it.

  • Complete my team tasks, and to help the teams to the best of my ability.

  • Complete a 4 question response sheet telling the founders what could be improved.

samara5955 (3iL)

As a 3iL my main focus is to monitor the FTT. I also have to verify and give paypoints to the members completing the pay objectives. And now I also am able to redeem paypoints for promotions. I am also expected to help other members in base, in dealing with situations like trolls, etc.

Apart from all that, I do the regular work, like filling stations and training members.

-Kaylalicious (1iL)

I am mainly responsible for making sure that the Royal Family is meeting their duties, as well as growing as leaders. I also help monitor base, making sure everything is running smoothly and that our members always feel ‘safe’ here in KoH.

How many hours do you usually commit yourself to the tasks in a week?

Heathlove (5iL)

35 hours at least.

samara5955 (3iL)

I try being on-line for a long time, but due to in real life work have been keeping busy lately. Let’s say I am online for about 30 minutes to an hour each day. But I’m always available offline as well. Like, if someone posts on the kid chat about any help, I give a helping hand.

I’m in RT, LU, IA, TU and TKC. So, the work needs to be done on a daily basis for a brief time every day.

-Kaylalicious (1iL)

I usually come online each day; I usually variate between working on my tasks and also working on home tasks. Basically, I go back and forth. Most days I can be online for most of the day or just here and there throughout the day. I don’t know how many hours exactly… never really counted that.

What do you do outside of Habbo?

Heathlove (5iL)

I do ballet and comteporary.

samara5955 (3iL)

I just completed my studies in Masters in Business Management, hence I’m back home. I’m mostly seen experimenting with cooking and baking and catching up with my folks. Meantime, I’m also trying to get a job. Let’s see how it goes.

GOOD LUCK!

-Kaylalicious (1iL)

I take care of my husband, his grandmother, the house and our pets. I also listen to my metal music and indulge sweets

Does the work in KoH ever get in the way of your everyday life? If yes, how do you overcome it?

Heathlove (5iL)

Nothing really gets in the way of my life, other than family. I put family first, but I love the KoH and want to be there all the time.

samara5955 (3iL)

Yeah, there are a couple of times when work in KoH clashes with work in real life. I’m a person with strong work ethics, so what I do is just priorities things and complete one of the work first. If for some reason I’m still not able to do the work, I will have a word with the Founders. They are quite understanding and it works out pretty well.

-Kaylalicious (1iL)

Sometimes, but when it does I usually take an LoA for a few days to get certain things in real life done and out of the way. But this doesn’t happen often; it’s mostly about HOW you communicate with your colleagues and asking for help when you need it.

What advice would you give to someone struggling to balance Habbo and in real life commitment?

Heathlove (5iL)

I would tell them to do what they feel is better. Let yourself feel what you feel. If you have other things to do outside of Habbo, you should do them. Make sure you are having fun!

samara5955 (3iL)

Strategising and knowing your priorities are the key here. Choose which one is most important based on your gut feeling. And most importantly, do not take more work than you can handle.

-Kaylalicious (1iL)

Take care of the big tasks first that are the most time consuming, and then take care of the smaller tasks. Take breaks when you need to and ask for help when you need it. Talking with co-workers that seem to be facing the same issue as you will help you out in the long run.

Although there are different responsibilities and commitments for every iL, in real life or on Habbo, in the end it all comes down to how you manage your time for you to be able to strive in your role.

Don't worry about being 'not good enough' for a high position; don't worry about what lies ahead; don't worry about what others tell you.

What you do, defines you. And if you think you can, you can.

Currently, the iC applications are still open. If you are willing to step out of your comfort zone and try something new, do take a look at the roles available, and apply.

Thank you Heathlove, samara5955 and -Kaylalicious for your time for making this article possible.

Till next time, lovely readers <3
