Ask TKC #28

Hello and welcome back to The Kingdom Chronicles!

This week, in the absence of our Freddie.pakman, I (SianieBee) will be doing Ask TKC on our topic of..drumroll please.. Meetings! I am delighted to be back writing, but enough of my rambling and let’s get to the questions we have this week.

1. What meetings are held in KoH?

There are many meetings scheduled over each month at Kingdom of Habbo!

• General Meetings are every Saturday at 8pm GMT and every Sunday at 4am GMT.

• General Meetings are a very important and convenient way for the Queen and iL’s to give the rest of KoH information about what’s going on in and around base. Many things will be mentioned at these meetings that are of use to us, keeping us all in ‘the loop’. New alliances and promotions to iL may be announced, officially, in these meetings along with any other celebrations there may be within the week.

• The Press Conference with the Queen is somewhat of a meeting as points are discussed and information is given – this happens every other Friday at 9pm GMT.

• iL Member Meetings happen every Sunday from 8pm GMT.

• Royal Cabinet Meetings happen every other Wednesday at 3am GMT.

• Each team also has one meeting per month. These Team Meetings can change days and times from month to month and are often held around a time most of the current members can attend.

• Team meetings are held to give the members of that team the information they need to do their job to the best of their ability. They are used to greet new members of the team and congratulate any who have worked extra hard that month. If anything changes within a team, if the other members have not yet been told via kik, this is where they will be told. There is a part of Team Meetings where the members have a chance to ask any questions they may have in regards to their work or the team in general.

2. Are these meetings compulsory?

No meeting in KoH is absolutely compulsory to attend. As we all have real lives to lead in addition to the kingdom, it’d be unreasonable to demand that everyone be present. In the case of team meetings, iL meetings and royal cabinet meetings it is compulsory to ascertain whether you will be able to attend and let the appropriate people know if you can’t.

3. Are there requirements I need to have to able to go?

• Any member of KoH can attend a General Meeting along with the Press Conference with the Queen.

• iL Member Meetings are normally attended by +5iL KoH members.

• Royal Cabinet Meetings are for +2 iL KoH members.

• Team Meetings are for all members of that team.

4. What do I need to do to be able to participate in the Team Meetings? Do I need to go to someone or fill out a form?

All you need to participate in a team meeting is yourself, a phone/tablet/laptop, a working internet connection and enough battery on your device to see you through. It is not often that a team leader will ask you to provide more than this at a team meeting but if they do expect more you will be told prior to attending.

You will need to go to the designated room set out for your meeting - this will be told to you by your lead or you can simply ‘follow’ them when the time comes.

You certainly don’t need to fill out any sort of form at the actual meeting however there may well be things you need to fill in after the meeting has taken place – most teams ask for some sort of ideas in regards to the working of the team for you to provide after.

5. Oh no, I missed the meeting! What should I do?

This all depends on which meeting you missed!

General meeting – Have no fear, if you have missed the one at 8pm on Saturday then you can attend the 4am one on Sunday if you want to. If you can’t, all you’ve lost out on is a promotion and some information that can be asked about later.

Press Conference – As these happen every other week you may be annoyed if you miss it but again, it’s not the end of the world. Any urgent questions you have for the queen or an iL can be asked to them directly and they can work their way around getting the answer back to you. Trust me iLs aren’t ogres, you can talk to them..don’t worry!

iL Meeting – Kayla holds all the answers in regards to iLs. Apologise profusely and hand in your minutes summary. You may get a strike but this won’t be forever.

Royal Cabinet Meeting – I am sure all Royal Cabinet members know the protocol in regards to missing a royal cabinet meeting. We’ll get there one day!

Team Meeting – Apologise to your lead. Talking from experience, they spend a LOT of time planning meeting times around the members and it can be hard when people don’t turn up. There will be meeting minutes you will need to read and most likely summarise to ensure you have read them and possibly an extra task to do. You may get a strike for missing the meeting without prior warning but again, this won’t last forever.
