A First Time For Everything

Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s edition of TKC! This week, I asked three members, one from each division (Low Rank, High Rank, and In Line) about how they have learned new things throughout the kingdom such as controlling stations! I asked jakevirtanen (Trades Worker), SlimDusty (Royal Journey), and liuliu_liuliu (4iL). Let’s see what they said!

What stations have you learned to fill as you've been here? Grace: So far, I've only learned how to fill the front and security. Brian: All of them actually. Being in the Royal Journey division allows me access to all stations so I can help as many people as I can. Maddie: FTT, FTWS, and FTTD.

How did you catch on to new things such as filling new stations? Grace: I'm not sure if you call this catching onto things, but I just pay close attention to instructions during training and I ask for help when needed. Brian: Well it was only the other day that I did my first session as a trainer in the Trades/Castle simulator. KoH has really good resources to use for all of its stations, so it makes it really simple to catch on. Maddie: Most of the higher rank members would help if I had any questions.

How did you feel when you first joined KoH? Grace: Honestly, I felt a bit out of place because I didn't know anyone but I was very excited to start working. Brian: When I first joined KoH, it was an exciting and new thing, we had barely any members, but we had the knowledge to run a successful agency. After coming back to KoH after a long holiday, it was amazing to see how much it has transformed, it made me feel like a Traveler again! Maddie: I felt very welcomed and was happy to join.

How do you feel now? Grace: I feel much more comfortable now since I've gotten to know some of the members here. Brian: Got a sore toe, but fine, thanks for asking! I love coming into base and seeing all the love that everyone receives when they walk in, heart emoticons everywhere! So hard to keep up with them all! And I'm so excited to see what the future brings to KoH. Maddie: I'm still happy to be apart of the KoH family.

What advice do you have for members who are learning how to do new things at KoH? Grace: My advice to those who are learning is to not be afraid of making mistakes, you'll learn from them. Also, to ask for help when you need it - don't suffer in silence. Brian: Never be afraid to ask questions, there are so many great people in base who are more than happy to take time out to show you things and teach you them in a way that is simplistic and understandable! I always try and help the new guys at FTF. And also have a look through the Kingdom's website for more information!
