Policy Thoughts
Hi there, readers! Welcome to the new edition of TKC! This week I’ve been asked to write about my opinions on the new policies that have been put in place this just recently. Some of these policies are very minor, while others are much bigger changes. As a disclaimer, these are my opinions only. Alright, let’s get started.

- No Uniform for LR’s on Theme Days
The first policy I’ll be discussing is the new attire policy. I believe there are pros and cons to this new policy. First, the cons. Now that Trades Worker+ can follow the RO attire policy, (which is mainly free dress) they don't really have anything to look forward to. I remember being an LR and trying really hard to become an RO so I didn't have to wear the uniform anymore. I suppose now, the LRs won’t get discouraged now from only being able to wear the uniform. It also allows more creativity in the Kingdom, as more people can show their style rather than having them all wear the same uniform. Overall, I think this was a nice change to make the LR’s feel more at home and to bring for creativity to KoH.
Next, the Promotion Timeline. I have only good things to say with this new policy change! Many of the LR’s promo times have been cut to be a half an hour shorter, as well as HR+ having shorter times before being promoted. I think this encourages workers to stay motivated and not get discouraged! It helps them to feel involved and that their hard work is paying off! Of course, as always, only hard working members get promoted. But, with this new change, it will help members to feel more accomplished.
Freedom Fridays are a great addition to our kingdom. As with the Promotion Timeline, I have only good things to say about this. With this new policy, on Fridays (GMT time) you can now use color chat and LRs (even Peasantry) can wear whatever they want (with it being appropriate). Honestly, I think this makes everyone feel right at home and have fun at KoH! I know that before this policy was made, people felt sad that they couldn't use color chat if they weren't 2iL+. Well, now you can! I personally love seeing everyone be happy and show some color in the Kingdom. It also attracts visitors when they arrive as they see all the bright colors!
The new hallway policy allows members to sit and talk in the hallways rather than having to stand. I personally believe this is a great idea because it allows everyone to communicate better and make new friends whether they are a guest or a member of the kingdom! I also think it allows people to feel more comfortable and casual at times within the kingdom, which is a good thing!
2iL’s now have the option to use light blue chat if they wish! I think this is a nice change because our 2iL’s work very hard and its a good way to honor them with this chat color. Also, if anyone needs a 2iL+, they can tell who is who by looking at their chat color.
Lastly, there is no uniform for LR’s on theme days! This kind of goes along with the new attire policy. On regular days, members of the Peasantry rank must wear their uniform at all times. Previously on theme days, Peasantry members could only change their accessories, hair, hats, and skin color to celebrate the theme days. Now, they can ditch the uniform and be creative on these fun days! I think this is a brilliant idea as it allows Peasantry members to get involved more with the kingdom and not feel left out of the festivities.
I don’t have any suggestions for KoH right now because I believe the policies in place are perfect and the new policies are fresh and awesome as well!
