A Focus on our 1iLs

Welcome to this week’s edition of TKC! The topic for this week is 1iLs! We will be shining a light on our two 1iL’s, -Kaylalicious and Andrewday11. They are very important people to help keep the kingdom smooth and running!

I interviewed both -Kaylalicious and Andrewday11 on their thoughts and opinions of being an iL and advice to those looking to be iLs in the future.

1. When did you become a 1iL and how did you achieve this position?

Andrewday11: Not a clue when, sooo look on my badge [He became 1iL on July 10th, 2016] and I became 1iL because I'd been at KoH nearly a year, and my past experience in agencies, and overall helping and standing out.

-Kaylalicious: I became 1iL on October 1st of 2015. Basically from being active in all stations, participating in IA and such, and I have put myself out there for volunteering for certain tasks.

2. What kinds of responsibilities do you have being at such a high role?

Andrewday11: Well, as prince, I’m in charge of IA, which means I have to oversee and help manage every team there is in KoH, as well as help oversee the base and all members in KoH.

-Kaylalicious: I personally oversee the Royal Family as the Commander of the Royal Family. I arrange weekly meetings with the iLs and make sure that they are keeping up with their iL Duties, and also making sure that base is running smoothly. I also help behind-the-scenes.

3. Do you ever wish you had a lighter load of work?

Andrewday11: Never. Being founder is a privilege and I'm forever grateful for the chance.

-Kaylalicious: Tbh, I have wished that in the past, but it seems to be easier now since some changes have been made.

4. If you had the chance to switch with any other iL for a week, who would you choose and why?

Andrewday11: Welli all IL’s are great and all do different things.. if I had to pick, probably someone like Tanya, Chloe, Paige.. someone who I believe can benefit and learn tons as a founder even for just a week.

-Kaylalicious: Phusion, because I am in awe with the friendship that Phusion and LaLaaLoopsy has. And she makes sure that things get done, she also informs me if I mess up or not, lol (well someone has to)

5. Lastly, what advice would you give to KoH members hoping to become an iL in the future?

Andrewday11: Stand out of the crowd, do stuff we don’t even ask you too do, like load alts when base is low, join teams, and stand out in them and overall, stand out as a person. We look at base activity, teams and overall personality in our iLs.

-Kaylalicious: Put yourself out there with outstanding effort in base, get involved in any team(s) that KoH has to offer (this is a great way to showcase your potential). Show that you can be a great leader by being a great role model for other members. Basically, you will need to be seen in base frequently; giving it YOUR ALL.

Also this week, I tried my best to shadow both 1iLs to catch a glimpse into their lives at KoH. They are both very hardworking individuals and from just the small amount of time I spent watching them, I could tell they cared greatly about KoH. Thank you both for your time and dedication to KoH. Just know that we all appreciate the love you give to all of KoH’s members!
