How to Make Friends

Dear Sian, I feel like I am alone here. How do I make friends? How do I get more involved?

How can I make true friends that will have my back? Are there people I can just talk to

about life?

Dear Friendless,

I know sometimes it can be hard making new friends in a new place. If you take the time to

talk to some of us here at The Kingdom of Habbo I’m sure the vast majority of members felt

very similar to you when we first started here.

First thing’s first, please let me reassure you that you are not alone. We have all felt this way

at some point in our lives and, as regular members of KoH, we are always here to chat! The

best way to make friends anywhere, not just in KoH, is to simply talk to people. Start talking

about what you like and I’m sure you’ll make some friends fast! There are so many members

that you are bound to find a few people with similar interests as yourself. How are you going

to know if you don’t talk to people?

Getting more involved is easy. Why don’t you join some of the teams here at KoH? You can

find a description of each team along with the application threads on the team forum. The

team forum can be found on the main website under the ‘Forums’ tab. There are lots of

different teams that require different skills. Are you good at writing? The Kingdom Chronicles

Team is fabulous to show everyone your skills. Are you quite imaginative or take pride in

setting up a fun atmosphere or hosting games? Try the Events Team! Feel free to ask

anyone in the teams for their opinions on each team to make your decision.

Here, at KoH, we are always here for each other and it’s not hard to make friends that will

‘have your back’. To make true friends here just be an active presence in base. Instead of

just sitting at one of the stations talk to those around you, tell them what you did during the

day, how you felt about it. Do you have any hobbies? Pets? Favourite games or bands?

There are so many topics to get people talking. When you come online regularly and start

talking, you’ll soon begin to notice who tends to be on at the same times you are and you

can get to know each other more personally. We don’t always talk about work in base, in fact

most of the time we will be talking about something completely random! It’s great to get

involved in these easy-going conversations and make some friends. A lot of KoH members

have kik and are more than willing to chat on there if you’re not active in base. In the

General Chats on kik there are often many conversations going on between members,

bringing us all together.

Personally, I have made some really good friends here at The Kingdom of Habbo and I

continue to make more and more every day. If anyone is feeling lonely and as if they don’t

end, Habbo is a game and if you are not making new friends and having a good time, what is

the point. I can guarantee that every dedicated person here at KoH will do absolutely

everything they can to make people feel comfortable and happy here.
