TKC Presents... A Competition Winner!

In June 2016, the Internal Affairs Forum team held a forum competition to write the best KoH-related short story. After reading some exciting and creative entries, the Forum team decided on their winner: Diddles26346! Once upon a time, there was a beautiful kingdom, The Royal Kingdom of Habbo. The rolling hills and crystal seas on the shores of this amazing place were unlike anywhere else in the world. Everything was cheerful in the kingdom that day, as Queen Briana Loopsy took a stroll through her kingdom. She watched the children playing by the rushing stream flowing into the ocean from her perch on the shore; everything was perfect. There was only one place in the kingdom that wasn't perfect: the wild moors of the criminal syndicates. A place filled with so much robbery and theft that only the hunters and huntresses would ever venture near.

I might have forgotten to mention this, but The Kingdom of Habbo is magical! It is filled with all the creatures you thought were a myth, and it is most beautiful to see them all thriving in our supernatural environment. First off, there's the mesmerizing Mermaids, that fill the oceans and inhabit the coves and caves on the beaches of the kingdom. There's also the wandering Werewolves who aren't as scary as they sound! They are quiet and tame, and live in the realms of the green wood along with the enchanting Elves, who are experts at bow and arrow skills and live up in the green woods tree-tops. Next is the so-called "vicious" Vampires, who no longer drink blood. They use a blood substitute made by the master crafters... Anyway, there's also the fabulous Fairies, who live in Summer Blossom Grove, and they create the finest garments you could ever wish to own! Not forgetting the Humans who also live within the kingdom, in a large village, surrounding the castle right in the center of the entire Kingdom of Habbo.

The races often argue and squabble and fight each other. Sometimes worse than others. They are like young children even at times! They all play in the Race Cup, a prestigious competition where all the races come together and participate in events, games and small competitions to earn race points! These are calculated and counted until the final event of the Race Cup is declared! We had events such as Jousting and Rescue the Princess. When the elves won, the races got into a bit of a feud with each other, and things darkened around the kingdom; all the magic seemed to have dulled and everyone avoided... well, everyone. It was a depressing time for the Queen, who was worried sick about the future of the kingdom if it didn't change soon.

The kingdom has many other small groups such as The Queen's Peace, which is the Queen's royal guard, and they always have an eye on her keeping her safe and sound. Once a year the entire Queen's Peace gets a day off, and the queen gets some time to herself! One year, on the 12th June, there was a disaster involving the queen and the criminal syndicates.

I will tell you the story - listen closely:

The queen was walking along the border of the Wild moors, when she was ambushed and stolen away deep into the moors - in an underground cave with an entrance from land, and an entrance underwater from the sea. As soon as the queen was found to be missing, all the races were out looking for her. The Mermaids searched the far boundaries of the ocean, the Elves and the Werewolves teamed up and turned the green wood upside down looking for her. The Fairies scoured the Kingdom from the skies and the Vampires searched through the darkest nights. Last but not least, the Humans used their little technology to try to find a trace of her, but nothing succeeded. After 2 weeks of searching, a lone Werewolf caught her scent on the Wild moors border and howled to the rest of his race. With the Queen tracked to the cave, all of the races set out, Fairies by the sky, Werewolves, Humans, Vampires and Elves by land, and the Mermaids took to the seas. At 8:00 AM on the dot, the races all crowded into the cave where the criminal syndicates were. All of the races stood together in front of their Queen, and very much intimidated by the power of the races all combined, the Criminal syndicates scattered and were not seen again for an eternity.

This tale tells us that even if the races have their disagreements, they will all come together to save something they love in the end.
