Three Parts of a Whole
Hello everyone! It is a lovely Sunday here and I am here to give you an interview for this week. But first, I wanted to mention how it has been a great week in the Kingdom; lots of new members, including us passing 3000 logged IDs, but we have also had some people leave :( With that being said, TKC is looking for two interviewers, a reporter, and a graphics design member. If you are interested, please check out the application on the team forum, as well as the task document, where you can see examples of each roles' work.
I will be your interviewer this week, oreo270, also known as Paige. I will be looking at Online Services. I have interviewed four different members who are on the team.
My first interview was with MENTALIST12, who is also known as Kim.
[Paige] What do you do in OLS?
[Kim] I am a graphic designer for OLS. My task inside is to produce images for theme days.
[Paige] What was your past experiences in the position that you have (What else have you done as a graphic designer, social media admin or forum mod in the past)?
[Kim] I have had many opportunities to enhance my design skill, and I get to work with many different people; but they start leaving.
[Paige] What is your favorite part of the team (What do you enjoy about OLS)?
[Kim] OLS, of course, because they are always awesome and active, and lead by awesome leader.
[Paige] What type of tasks do you have?
[Kim] Mostly graphic design tasks, but I would volunteer to do other tasks.
[Paige] How active does your position require you to be? (How much time do you put in a week?)
[Kim] I am expected to be active every day in chat, and must respond to certain messages, and must pass tasks on time, and communicate/discuss with teammates. It's mostly about spending 2-3 hours in a week.
My second interview will be with Charcuterie, also known as Joey.
[Paige] What do you do in OLS?
[Joey] I am a forum moderator in OLS.
[Paige] What was your past experiences in the position that you have (What else have you done as a graphic designer, social media admin or forum mod in the past)?
[Joey] I had no experience, but there was a very useful guide to help me along. People are also very friendly and helpful!
[Paige] What is your favorite part of the team (What do you enjoy about OLS)?
[Joey] I love that I can act immediately when someone asks for help regarding forum issues instead of having to report the post/seek further help, as these tend to happen very often. So I'd say I'm helping with the overall efficiency.
[Paige] What type of tasks do you have?
[Joey] I have to moderate forum posts daily.
[Paige] How active does your position require you to be? (How much time do you put in a week?)
[Joey] My position requires me to be very active as there are new posts 24/7. I'd say I put in around 10-14 hours a week.
My third interview was with Gfsfg2, also known as Dani.
[Paige] What do you do in OLS?
[Dani] I'm part of the Social Media team, so whenever anything cool or announcement-worthy is happening, I post it on our Facebook Page for everyone to see.
[Paige] What was your past experiences in the position that you have (What else have you done as a graphic designer, social media admin or forum mod in the past)?
[Dani] I cover anything from posting events to answering questions that others may have.
[Paige] What is your favorite part of the team (What do you enjoy about OLS)?
[Dani] I really love getting information out there and informing people all about the exciting news here at KoH! I also love that members can post their own photos/posts there too, and through that we can communicate and just be open, you know?
[Paige] What type of tasks do you have?
[Dani] I usually wait for a graphic designer to give me a photo of the theme day so that I can put it up on the page.
[Paige] How active does your position require you to be? (How much time do you put in a week?)
[Dani] It's not much time, like maybe 2-3 times a week, I'll post theme days and other hip and happenings at KoH.
My last interview was with :Tanya, who is known as Tanya.
[Paige] What do you do in OLS?
[Tanya] I am a forum moderator in OLS, so you can generally find me overlooking the general forums to make sure everything is running smoothly.
[Paige] What was your past experiences in the position that you have (What else have you done as a graphic designer, social media admin or forum mod in the past)?
[Tanya] I have never been a forum mod before, but I've been admins of clans in online games before. I actually have more experience as a graphic designer LOL but I don't really have time for that in OLS. Being a forum mod suits my schedule a lot better. It's a lot of fun!
[Paige] What is your favorite part of the team (What do you enjoy about OLS)?
[Tanya] My favorite part of OLS is probably just the fact that I am on hand to help anyone out with any forum issues they have. I love being on the help desk as an iL, and I feel like having moderator duties on the forum fits in with that perfectly.
[Paige] What type of tasks do you have?
[Tanya] We don't have set tasks as members of the mod team, but we are expected to continually watch over the forum and address any issues that arise. For example, if things are logged incorrectly, we are expected to fix the logs and issue a warning to the member so that they know how to avoid the error in the future. We can also log forum name change requests if someone forgot to include their tag. We also just make sure the forum is a friendly place, and ensure that there are no posts that break KoH's rules and policies.
[Paige] How active does your position require you to be? (How much time do you put in a week?)
[Tanya] I don't believe there's any set requirements for time put in, but I try to browse the forums at least once daily to see if there's any immediate issues. However, I am always on hand to fix any issues that other members catch before the mod team. Just let me know! :)
We had all the positions of OLS interviewed, and like the other teams, they do great work to help improve the Kingdom. They give visuals to the members, they post updates on social media for us all and they make sure everything is running well on the forum. We have a lot coming up this next week including Guess the Landmark (game), Career Day (theme), Name That Movie (game) and Villains Day (theme), I look forward to hopefully being able to attend more of these games as my real life job will calm down after today. Side note, I used red for my questions as my kids will be calling me Little Red all summer :) Thank you for reading, and don’t forget to apply if you are interested in joining us!
