Our beloved Kingdom sees many tiers of hard workers: from fresh-faced Young Races to the dedicated Profession ranks, there is a large variety of talent, commitment and passion amongst our group. One certain group of us, though, is the focal point for our interview this week. Placed just below the famed In-Lines of KoH is our Noble Guild, where handpicked Royal Officials have been carefully selected to train to eventually become part of the Royal Family.
This week, I have been able to sit down with 3 members of the Noble Guild to find out a little more about what they do, how they do it, and how they feel about it. Our representatives are: MENTALIST12, Kylie_Potter and oreo270.
:Tanya (T): What kind of tasks are you expected to undertake as the Noble Guild member? oreo270 (O): We have daily quests that we are expected to take part in, as well as being examples around base. We are being trained how to be iLs. Kylie_Potter (K): Quests, working within the Transfer Unit, plus Development Team tasks biweekly.
MENTALIST12 (M): Any quest: I am ready for it!
For a little bit of background information, MENTALIST12 gave us a quick rundown on the 'quests' that Noble Guild members are tasked with.
T: What kind of quests do you get tasked to do? M: Promote three members, train or welcome a new member, be online for at least 1 hours, and much more.
T: How often do quests get assigned, and how many? M: It resets every day at 7pm GMT and we are normally assigned 5-6 quests.
T: Is there a minimum you have to complete, or do you just complete as many as you can? M: There is a minimum of completing 7 tasks in a week and they want us to do as many quests as you can.
T: Please describe an average day as a Noble Guild member. K: An average day? Well, we have to do the normal stuff like work FTF, etc. Sometimes our quests are a little on the tricky side 'cause they're about timing. M: I will do my quests, promoting, training, security, welcome station, FTF, visit allies and invite new members! O: Well, we have different quests, but we always have to work over an hour and promote people. But basically they just want us to be active. Other quests include things with allies, different amounts of training, recruiting. Pretty much any task that helps KoH. We also have to be a part of the dev team and the transfer unit.
T: How different is your experience in KoH now that you are in the Noble Guild, rather than being just a Royal Official? M: A variety of stuff is different. A good one, of course, is that I can promote higher ranks up to Profession, and carry out duties like a temporary iL. O: I really like it, I feel like I know more of what I can be doing to help KoH, and I feel like it is good to be more involved. K: It actually hasn't changed that much. I still do everything I used to, I just have more to do alongside it. We're all still Royal Officials after all.
T: Do you think you'll be prepared by the time you become a full-fledged iL? O: Yes, I think I will be ready to take it on. K: Yeah, 'cause that's what the Guild is about to a point, training us to be iLs. M: I am ready. No matter what comes, I am ready to fulfill any qualifications, jobs and quests when I become an iL.
T: How do you think you will feel when you are raised to iL? K: After the shock wears off? idk. [laughs] Just being honest! M: I would feel happy, of course, and would carry out my duty good and perfect! And also nervous. O: I will be really excited.
T: Do you have any words for KoH members who are aiming for the Noble Guild one day? O: Keep working hard, and you need to be really active. They take people who they can see being iLs one day. Also, you may not feel like [the iLs] are watching or nothing, but they are. K: Be prepared for everything from visiting allies to taking part in forum games and more. M: Work hard, any effort that you give out will not be in vain... good luck, the Noble Guild road is waiting for your arrival!
NB. In a fantastic turn of events, shortly after the interview was concluded, oreo270 and MerPrincess11 were promoted to 5iL! As someone who was able to get a firsthand look at how our guild members felt about their roles, and how much dedication showed, I couldn't be prouder of them. Congratulations, Paige and Claudia!
After today, Sunday 17th April, the Noble Guild stands two members less, and the Royal Family, two members more. Who will be the next KoH member to be recognized as a potential iL-to-be? Only time will tell. Until then, we have our future stars to look up to: MENTALIST12, Kylie_Potter and Quarterchub. Thanks to our interviewees for taking the time out of their busy questing to answer our questions, and until next time: take care everyone!
